This Privacy Policy explains how Yell and Hum, LLC collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use Whatever the Weather.

We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in encrypted form).

Clothing photos and wardrobe data
Photos you upload are stored on our secure servers. We distinguish between two types:

• Original life photos — automatically deleted 30 days after upload
• Individual clothing item images — retained for as long as your account is active

Location data
With your permission, we access your approximate location solely to retrieve live weather data. Your location is not stored on our servers.

Usage data
We collect anonymised usage events through PostHog to improve the Service. This data does not identify you personally.

Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Service — building your digital wardrobe and generating outfit recommendations
• Process subscription payments through Paddle
• Send service-related emails via Mailchimp
• Retrieve live weather data for your location via Open-Meteo
• Generate clothing item visuals using DALL-E (OpenAI) during outfit generation only
• Analyse anonymised usage patterns via PostHog to improve the product
• Respond to your support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

We work with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

We do not share your wardrobe photos with any third-party service except as described above.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary:

• Original life photos — automatically deleted 30 days after upload
• Clothing item images — retained while your account is active
• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Usage analytics — anonymised, retained up to 12 months
• Billing records — retained as required by applicable tax law

When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

Whatever the Weather. is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Your password is stored in encrypted form and is never visible to us.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.

We use cookies solely for:

• Session cookies — to keep you logged in during your visit
• Authentication cookies — to verify your identity securely

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from staying logged in.

Here is how your data is handled in the AI process:

• Your clothing photos are processed on our servers to detect and categorise garments — your photos are not sent to third-party AI providers for detection.
• When generating outfit visuals, clothing item descriptions (not your original photos) may be sent to OpenAI (DALL-E). Your original photos are never shared with OpenAI.
• Outfit recommendations are generated on our servers using your wardrobe data, stated occasion, and live weather.
• We do not use your photos or personal data to train any AI model without your explicit consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
